I started seeing Dr. Tatum about a year a go after a recommendation from a friend. I think she is great, along with her staff. I am always greeted when I walk in the door, and have never had to wait. Dr. Tatum does an awesome job and I don't dread my appointments like I have with past dentist. Best dentist Practice I have seen fand or many reasons including the kind and personable staff. Highly recommended!
My visit with Dr. Tatum was great but her office staff made an error that ended up costing over $50 because they did not follow my instructions tell them not to bill it to my insurance company, since I'd already paid them the full amount. They took my insurance info to give me an estimate of what it would cost to use them for my annual cleaning and exam (out of network) but then used it to submit a claim to my insurance company for which they received $8.05, which they have not refunded to me. This $8 cost me $60 when I had my regular annual exam with another dentist because that exam counted as an additional uncovered exam. They have agreed to send me the $8.05, but I wonder if I would have ever received it without calling them after investigating why I got charged by my new dentist for a covered exam. Dr. Tatum did a great job with an emergency re-cementing of a crown but the rest of this episode really makes me question the honesty and integrity of her practice. Beware if you use them and keep a close eye on what they are getting from your insurance company. When I told them about all of this and that their failure to follow my instructions had cost me $60 they told me all they could do was refund the $8.05 which they should have sent me a year ago. Not a very satisfactory answer and terrible customer service.
I always have a great experience at DR. Tatum's dental office. The staff is very friendly. My appointment are always on time. The office manager Is very knowledgeable and is quick to respond to my needs. The hygienist Norma is through and caring. I have been under DR. Tatum's care for over 8 years and I have been pleased with the dental care she has provided
